Bruce Boege, Grammy nominated sound engineer, has been a professional musician for over 50 years, and owner of Limin Audio & Music Studio for over 35 years.


Bruce and Limin Recording Studio are located on the beautiful, tropical island of Maui, Hawaii. Maui is truly an artists paradise that inspires world-class audio and music productions. Recording, mixing and mastering have been a passion of Bruce's for decades.

Bruce has played professionally from Hungary to Hawaii, and Maine to the Virgin Islands. He has also worked in the studio and onstage with many of the best-known names in the music business.


Bruce had his first recording contract with RCA in 1967, with a band named The Ravens, in Danbury, Connecticut. He has pursued recording, mixing and mastering technology with a passion ever since.

Based Many Years in Maine

  • Received a Grammy nomination for sound production on a collaboration folk music album in 2010

  • Produced hundreds of music recording projects for local Maine artists from classical to rock


Now Based on Maui, Hawaii

Currently based on the island of Maui, Hawaii, Bruce runs his Limin Audio & Music Studio and serves as the chief sound engineer for the ProArts Playhouse.

  • Bruce plays with and records the Soul Kitchen Maui band (voted best on the island a few years back.)

  • He also leads the Makai Jazz Group (both groups nominated for best band by the Maui Times, Best of Maui Poll)

  • He has produced recordings here for Jimmy Coulter, also Na Hoku, nominated for a Hawaiian Grammy for Best Album

  • Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered 100 audio books for

  • Served as a freelance sound engineer for Audio Bookshelf and Outloud Audio Books, producing titles and composing music for the book productions
